De restauratie van de Golf 1 heeft plaatsgevonden bij de vestiging van Ames in Zwijndrecht waar de auto is gerestaureerd bij Schadenet Ames en voor onderhoud en technische reparaties bij Ames Autobedrijf. De basis van de auto verkeerde in een topconditie. De auto is volledig overgespoten en strak gemaakt.
